Karen has a B.S. in Physical Education with an Athletic Training emphasis, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. She is a certified orthopedic clinical specialist and has 19 years of experience as a physical therapist with a primary focus on orthopedics, sports medicine, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy. Karen's continuing education has included study with many internationally renowned instructors in the areas of muscle energy technique, mobilization with movement, myofascial release, McConnell technique, Kinesiotaping, and craniosacral therapy. She is presently working in an outpatient physical therapy setting where she strives to achieve rapid functional improvements in her patients through the blending of mobilization, exercise, taping, balance, and many other types of self-help education. She worked as a therapist with the 1996 Olympic team and has helped many athletes with her evidence-based techniques. She has taught kinesio taping since 2003.
